The infrared thermometer can be used to reliably measure surface temperatures. It is therefore a great help, for example, in detecting faults in the engine, checking the catalytic converter, cooling and heating circuits or checking air conditioning systems. The laser helps to focus on the object to be measured. Temperature-related faults are displayed acoustically. This makes it possible to find the hottest or coldest spot in hard-to-reach places without having to look at the display.
Application:
To determine the reference temperature, aim the ThermoPieper at the area to be measured and then press the switch-on / hold function button. The laser can be activated as an option. When the acoustic mode is activated, the temperature deviation from the reference temperature is displayed. The higher the deviation of the temperature from the reference temperature, the faster the frequency of the beep - and vice versa. The temperature can be read on the LCD display.
Examples of use:
Detection of overheating in electrical components, plug connections and cable harnesses.
Diagnosis of cooling systems and catalytic converters
Quickly checking the temperature of spark plugs, cylinders, injection nozzles, wheel bearings, tyres, air-conditioning systems, heating and the asphalt in motor sports
